Technical Sales Representative, Healthcare Division

ChemDAQ Inc is a small, dynamic manufacturing company located west of Pittsburgh in Robinson Township. ChemDAQ helps customers keep their workforce safe by manufacturing and selling gas monitoring systems for hard to detect chemical vapors. Our team is growing as we break into new markets, improve existing products, and develop innovative solutions in collaboration with our customers and partners. We operate in a fast-paced work environment and the company is positioned for significant growth. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a new Technical Sales Representative in our Healthcare Division. 

The ideal candidate for the position will be self-motivated and possess strong critical thinking, organizational skills, creative problem solving, and presentation skills. This position is best suited for a true "hunter" who can prospect and close. You must be committed to working hard, communicating effectively, and achieving your target goals. You must also be comfortable making cold calls, emailing extensively, working with channel partners, qualifying prospects, and closing sales. This position is a terrific opportunity to manage your own territory and positively affect the growth of the company. It will also give you the ability to promote employee safety and protect our customers’ brands.

Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and maintain a regional sales territory for ChemDAQ hazardous gas monitoring systems across the Healthcare Market, specifically Public and VA Hospitals

  • Build and maintain relationships with key executives and decision makers at the partner and customer level

  • Understand customer business needs and effectively position ChemDAQ solutions

  • Identify and generate new business opportunities within your assigned region

  • Work closely with the marketing and technical service departments in lead generation and customer service activities and support 

  • Manage your pipeline with Odoo CRM, with precision and accuracy to reach effective forecasting. 

  • Source new sale opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold call and emails 

  • Follow up on and manage qualified leads by phone and email

  • Lead one-on-one screen-sharing presentations as required

  • Create awareness and demand for company solution 

  • Continuously gain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; growing professional networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional associations, etc.

  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets

  • Manage other duties and responsibilities as defined by management

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in business or related field

  • At least 3 years of experience in sales, preferably selling into Sterile Processing Departments

  • Strong verbal, written and time management skills

  • Full-cycle sales expertise, from prospecting through closing

  • Strong opportunity development and closing skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office - PowerPoint - Excel - Word

  • Experience with CRM systems
