2. Installing Your Steri-Trac™ Sensor 2 Zero Adjust Function: The zero-adjust function is performed after a calib rated sensor has been newly installed. Once the sensor has settl ed, and there is no target gas in the area, the area monitor should read 0.0ppm. If the readin g is slightly off, use the zero- adjust function to inform the monitor that it shoul d be reading 0.0ppm. This filters out minor variations caused by environmental factors. Important Warnings Regarding the Zero-Adjust Functi on: • The zero-adjust function is intended to be used onl y after a calibrated sensor has been newly installed. Using the zero-adjust function for any other purpos e could seriously degrade the accuracy of the area mo nitor’s readings . • The zero-adjust function should only be performed w hen there is no target gas present in the area. Do not perform the zero adjust functi on, for example, while sterilizers are in operation. • After a calibrated sensor has been installed, wait two minutes before performing the zero-adjust function. This allows ti me for the sensor to settle. Note: Once you enter the configuration menu, if the monitor detects no button presses for five seconds, it will exit the menu and return to t he main display. 1. To enter the configuration menu, press and hold the Magic Button™ until you see MENU on the main display. Then release the button. 2. Press and hold the button to cycle through the sub menus. If the Z0.0 is GREEN, the zero adjust was successful. (If the Z0.0 is RED, the zero-adjust was NOT successful. Call your ChemDAQ service representative.) 5.
