Dr. Richard Warburton, Chief Technology Officer and General Counsel at ChemDAQ was a speaker at the US Poultry’s Environmental Management Seminar. More than 130 poultry and egg industry environmental professionals were in attendance as Warburton explained the great safety concerns related to using peracetic acid. Dangerous exposure limits and peracetic acid exposure symptom were just some of the topics he covered. Dr. Warburton also discussed government regulating agencies and what they consider to be safe levels. Since high levels of peracetic acid are not easy to detect by smell, chemical monitoring is essential to keeping peracetic acid at a safe level.
