In order to provide safe drinking water, public water supplies must be disinfected to kill micro-organisms and pathogens that might otherwise cause human diseases. This is most commonly done with ozone, hydrogen peroxide, chlorine or chlorine dioxide. All of these are effective in disinfecting our drinking water, but at the same time can pose health risks to workers if exposed.
Government agencies have imposed permissible exposure limits for each of these chemicals and employers have a legal duty to ensure that these exposure limits are not exceeded.
ChemDAQ’s Steri-Trac® toxic gas monitoring system provides a means to monitor toxic vapors and help ensure a safe work environment. Customized to meet the specific needs of each facility, Steri-Trac® Area monitors, in conjunction with Remote Display Repeaters and ChemDAQ’s DAQ™ Central Monitoring System continuously ather, nalyze, eport and isplay exposure levels in areas where dangerous agents are used or stored.
