Pre-installation Assistance
Soon after your system order ships one of our Technical Service Representatives will contact you to guide you through all the steps necessary to install and activate your new monitoring system. We typically begin by scheduling a Pre-Installation conference with your team of users and installers. We help you understand the necessary site preparation that’s required for a smooth and timely installation. Site prep typically involves mounting some equipment, running the necessary signal cables and supplying electrical power.

On-Site System Activation and In-Service Training
Once the site preparation is complete, the ChemDAQ Technical Services Representative will travel to your facility to complete the hook-up, test the system and train personnel from all shifts. The training provides a thorough understanding of the operation and use of each component of the system, and how to interpret the various alerts. There are three types of In-Service Training:

  1. Understanding the Steri-Trac Monitors and System Configuration (all shifts)
    • Explain purpose of all system components
    • Explain Component locations
    • Review OSHA exposure limits of toxic gas(es) used

  2. In-service on SXP Sensor Calibration Exchange Program. (designated personnel)
    • Demonstrate the sensor exchange procedure
    • Identify customer personnel that will be responsible for sensor exchange

  3. In-service on DAQ computer (Managers, supervisors, safety personnel)
    • Explain the features of your DAQ Central Monitoring System.
    • Review impending alarms and graphical interface
    • Demonstrate how to generate reports, add comments to reports, and all other features

When all shifts are fully trained and you are satisfied, our technician will return to ChemDAQ but they are always just a phone call or email away.
