Ammonia is gas with a strong pungent odor and is primarily manufactured today via the Haber Bosch catalytic combination of nitrogen and hydrogen. Ammonia is used in chemical synthesis, refrigeration and as a fertilizer. It is also a byproduct of animal farming operations.
