Properties and Applications:
Hydrogen chloride gas is a colorless corrosive gas that fumes in moist air with a pungent odor. The gas is used in the manufacture of pharmaceutical hydrochlorides, chemical synthesis, chlorinating hydrocarbons and in water as hydrochloric acid.
