Properties and Applications:
Hydrogen is used in many applications from welding to hydrogenation of vegetable oils, and chemical synthesis and processing fossil fuels. Hydrogen is used as a propellant in the space shuttle and is also gaining prominence as a zero emissions fuel for automobiles and in fuel cells.
