A USPOULTRY-funded study by Georgia Tech Applied Research Corporation in Atlanta used ChemDAQ’s monitors to assess poultry workers’ exposure to peracetic acid (PAA). The research was conducted in four poultry processing plants with employees wearing ChemDAQ’s real-time monitors. The scientists compared the PAA readings from the gas monitors to the proposed exposure levels of the American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH) and the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH).
