ChemDAQ, Inc. Launches Blog
Company seeks to expand knowledge of sterilant gas users with increased internet presence

June 23, 2010 – Pittsburgh, PA – ChemDAQ, Inc. revealed today that they have launched a blog on the popular Google site, Blogger, in order to provide current and potential customers with relevant information concerning the sterile processing industry.  The blog, which can be found at www.chemdaq.blogspot.com, is another positive step taken by the company, which is already a leading producer and expert when it comes to continuous gas monitoring.

“The blog will be extremely effective in increasing education about just how harmful sterilant gases can be, and how employers can take proactive steps to protect their workers from exposure,” said Alexander Hilliker, ChemDAQ Inc.’s Regulatory Compliance Specialist.  Mr. Hilliker stated that information shared on the blog will include summaries of reports and studies done by organizations such as the EPA, NIOSH, and FDA regarding the harmful effects of exposure to chemical sterilants, as well as links to other pertinent information.  The blog will feature the ability to comment on posts, which Mr. Hilliker hopes will stimulate discussion among experts in the industry.  “We want to give people access to this information, but also the ability to offer their own suggestions and solutions to the problems and issues we pose.”

The blog will also serve as a place for ChemDAQ, Inc. to update its followers on progress made by the company to revise regulations and standards that they feel are inconsistent with increased understanding of the adverse health effects of sterilant gases in both the short and long term.  As a member of several working groups at the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI), for example, ChemDAQ, Inc. will use the blog to immediately relay any changes that are made to relevant standards at committee meetings.

ChemDAQ, Inc. plans to post new content to the blog on a weekly basis.
